Monica Palmer

As Senior Director of Clinical and Legal Services I oversee all program and service provisions for Counseling, Adoption, Immigration Legal services as well as the Enid Regional office. I started at Catholic Charities as a counseling intern in 1990 in my first year at the agency. After that year I then had the privilege of working as a full time bi-lingual therapist for 17 years before accepting the position as the Director of the counseling program. After several years in that position, I was invited to be a part of the Senior team here at Catholic Charities. The gentle promptings of the Holy Spirit have guided me in the path I have walked during my career and many steps along the way have been unexpected blessings.

As a member of the Halo Society you play a vital role in the sustenance of the agency’s service to others. You are much like the Sanctuary Lamp in a Catholic chapel that always burns. Your recurring donation keeps the hands and feet of the agency moving. The Lamp reminds us of the life of Christ in the Holy Eucharist, Christ’s Blood and Body. Your gift keeps “the candle burning” for all those who we serve and reminds us that Christ Lives!

The primary purpose of the Counseling, Support & Education Program is to provide a timely response to families, children and individuals within the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City who are seeking short-term professional help. St. Joseph's Counseling Center has been providing professional outpatient counseling services since 1990. Licensed clinicians offer confidential, professional counseling services to individuals, groups and families. These individuals are provided opportunities for therapeutic change and growth in an atmosphere of acceptance and caring.
