  • Faith Health/Parish Nurse Ministry a Parish Nurse or a Health Ministry Committee serves the parish to meet physical, spiritual and social needs. They promote healthy lifestyles through wellness education and provide assistance accessing healthcare services and resources for those in need. A Health Ministry Advocate can be a nurse, physician, allied health professional (such as social worker, counselor, pharmacist, physical therapist) or other volunteer with a call to serve in this ministry.   • Project Gabriel is a parish-based ministry that is a confidential, compassionate ministry helping women struggling with unplanned pregnancies. Mentors engage and assist women in need of resources, supplies, and emotional and spiritual support. It offers vital parish and community links for mothers. One-on-one interactions with the mentor and the relationship-building can be the catalyst for formal services and referrals. Mentors are trained and supported through Catholic Charities Pregnancy and Adoption Services. Click here!

  • Cabrini Wellness Ministry addresses suicide prevention, response and education in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City by equipping educators, parents, clergy, and ministry leaders with the tools to respond appropriately to those who are considering suicide. The three overarching wellness blocks identified in the Cabrini Wellness Ministry plan are: QPR Training, implementation of the Lifelines Prevention Program, and lastly, to identify local resources for parishes and schools.   • Domestic Violence Parish Ministry builds the capacity of parishes and parishioners through education and resources to support those who are caught in the isolation of domestic violence.  Presentations to educate parishes to build awareness and learn ways to reach those in need are available.

  • Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) provides grants to self-help projects developed by grassroots groups of empowered poor persons who are working to address the root causes of poverty in their communities.  It also works to increase Catholics’ awareness of poverty in the U.S., educate about the Catholic social tradition, and build bridges between poor and non-poor communities.
