Emergency Rent & Utility Assistance

This program was developed to be a stop-gap for people who have found themselves in a one-time crisis and need assistance with rent or a utility bill. 

When money becomes tight, many families and individuals are unable to make a budget that ensures timely rent payments or prevents a utility from being cut off. Catholic Charities understands the significant impact those situations can bring and we offer help through our emergency rent and utility assistance program.

How to Apply:

• Online applications are only accepted at our main OKC location 8:30 am Monday and close after we accept six clients. The form will reopen the following Monday at 8:30 am.
• Please check this site for updates, as the online form availability is subject to change.
• Who can apply? Anyone who lives in Central Oklahoma.
  
• If you live in Enid, Ardmore, Woodward or Lawton, please inquire about assistance through their Catholic Charities office. 

Applicants can qualify for emergency utility assistance by bringing a current utility bill, proof of current and identifiable income, and valid piece of personal identification. These services are provided regardless of religion, race, creed, or socio-economic status.

Those requiring rental assistance will need to provide a copy of the lease in the applicant's name, identification, and proof of income.

Due to the volume of requests, individual financial assistance is limited.
